CANDLE INFORMATION
Our wax is wonderful combination of soy, vegetable wax and food grade paraffin.
Our wicks are a cotton core and paper blend. They are a flat braided cotton wick
with paper threads woven into the cotton. The reinforced construction of the wick
is designed to ensure a consistent burn.
Our wicks are all natural, 100% safe and are lead and zinc free.
Note: Any buildup (black soot or smoke) or “mushrooming effect” is due to the high
paper content. Any buildup should be removed (by wiping) once the wick is
extinguished. We strongly recommend trimming the wick (to ¼“) between burns.
CAREFUL CANDLE CARE TIPS
- The first time you light your candle, we recommend you burn long enough,
so there is a full melt pool and the wax has been heated long enough to
reach the edge of the container and will burn evenly down through the
candle for optimal diffusion. - Trim your wick to 1/4″ (6mm) prior to each lighting. This ensures that the
flame is controlled, reduces, carbon buildup/smoke and makes for an even
burn - Optimal burn time is 2-3 hours, no more than four. This ensures that there is
a full melt pool and no wax buildup at the edge of the vessel. Avoid drafty
areas.
